Bedrock
A psilocybin retreat. Built for founders
October 15-18, 2026. Portugal
You didn't get this far by avoiding hard things.
But there's a particular kind of hard that most tools weren't built for. The existential weight of building something that matters, managing people who depend on you, answering to a board while staying true to your vision, and doing all of it while quietly wondering whether you're the right person for the job. None of it shows up in your metrics. But it shapes every decision you make.
Bedrock is a 4 day psilocybin retreat designed exclusively for founders.
What makes Bedrock unique
PEERS WHO GET IT
Maximum of 8 participants carefully selected for cohesion. Everyone in the room has built something real and knows exactly what that weight feels like.
EVIDENCE BASED
No sound baths, no crystals, no new-age trappings. The facilitation is grounded in clinical best practices and built around deep respect for your time and attention.
BUILT FOR IMPACT
The retreat creates an opening. The coaching before and after turns that opening into lasting change in how you think, lead, and make decisions.
GENUINELY PRIVATE
What happens in the group stays in the group. Participants are screened for discretion. This is not something that ends up on LinkedIn.
Who is this for
You’re several years into building something real.
You’ve done the coaching, the offsites, the trainings, the therapy.
You’re not looking for another framework.
You’re looking for something that can match the depth of what you’re carrying.
If any of this resonates, Bedrock was built for you.
Program Overview
Before you arrive
(2-4 weeks)
Before the in-person retreat, we begin to cultivate radical self-awareness. What are you actually carrying? What stories are you telling yourself? What are you ready to leave behind?
Private coaching session. A 90-minute conversation to clarify your intentions, establish what you most want to work on, and prepare you for what the ceremony may surface.
Group call. One session with the full cohort to build connection, share intentions, and prepare collectively for the experience ahead.
Microdosing protocol. A structured microdosing practice begins in the weeks before the retreat, quieting the noise long enough to hear what’s actually true beneath it.
In Person Retreat
(Oct 15-18, 2026)
The retreat becomes a doorway to things that are difficult to reach any other way: putting down the weight of past decisions, loosening the grip of stories that have quietly shaped how you lead, and recovering a quality of open, generative thinking that the relentless pace of operations tends to suppress.
Three nights in a remote, nature-based location. Programming will begin on Thursday afternoon and end on Sunday afternoon. Participants have the option to stay overnight on Sunday to deepen the initial integration period.
Two high-dose psilocybin ceremonies. Held on consecutive afternoons, each carefully facilitated by experienced space holders to allow deep surrender into the experience.
Generous time and spaciousness. Structured connections with the group. Private integration sessions with the facilitators. Rest, movement. time in nature and more. No performance for the outside world.
After you return
(1 month+)
The ceremonies opens things. What happens next is the work of making it stick.
Group call: 1 week post-retreat. The cohort reconvenes to clarify and deepen the key messages that emerged. What landed most clearly? What is still settling?
Group call: 4 weeks post-retreat. A check-in on what has shifted, what has stuck, and where the noise has started to creep back in. Peer accountability and support.
Microdosing protocol. Psilocybin opens a window of heightened neuroplasticity in the weeks following a high-dose ceremony. Intentional microdosing helps extend that window, making this the most potent time to embed new patterns in how you lead and engage.
Unlimited 1:1 support as needed. Sometimes ceremonial work opens up doors that require more care and support in the weeks following. Included in this program is unlimited access to your coach and guide Allison in the month following your retreat.
It is not easy.
This program will ask things of you that are genuinely uncomfortable. The depth of what you take from it is proportional to what you bring.
It is not a shortcut.
The retreat can open things that are genuinely difficult to reach any other way. But the work of making it stick is yours to do. Bedrock gives you the structure and the support. The rest requires your commitment.
About Allison
Allison Akhnoukh has spent 25 years working with founders and leaders — inside early-stage startups, across large organizations, and one-on-one with the people carrying the hardest decisions. She holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and has coached CEOs across the US and Europe. She knows what it actually costs to build something from the ground up.
Her own experience with psychedelic plant medicines has changed how she leads and lives. Since 2022, she has been working at the intersection of rigorous coaching methodology and the transformative depth of psychedelic-assisted work — with founders, leaders, and people navigating real life turning points.
She built Bedrock because it’s the program she believes the founder community is missing.
Allison is certified with the International Coaching Federation and holds a certificate in Psychedelic Therapies and Integration from Vital: Psychedelics Today. She lives in Cascais, Portugal with her husband and three sons.
“My journey with Allison has been fantastic. Her process combines the deep inner work psychedelics provide with the logical structure of a more traditional coaching process. The experience helped me tremendously in navigating life as a co-founder and organizational leader.” - FinTech Co-Founder and CEO.

The Setting
Bedrock takes place at Shanti Space, a retreat property set in the natural landscape outside Lisbon — close enough that getting there is easy (30 minutes from LIS), remote enough that once you arrive, the outside world genuinely recedes.
The property is surrounded by nature, with space to breathe, walk, and sit quietly. It is the kind of place that does part of the work just by being what it is.
Every participant has their own private room — uninterrupted rest is not a luxury here, it is part of the program. The depth of this work requires that you are not performing for anyone, even at the end of the day.
Food is prepared fresh throughout the retreat, with an emphasis on nourishing, plant-based meals that support the body during the ceremonial work. This is not an afterthought. What you eat and how you rest directly affects what becomes available to you in the ceremony.

Frequently Asked Questions

The two ceremony format of this retreat is very supportive for “first timers”. We can start with a more gentle dosage for the first day so you are able to ease into the experience feeling safe. In the second ceremony, we can go deeper or stay at the same level. We also don’t always need high doses to go deep. Sometimes the most meaningful and lasting change happens at a more subtle level.
Each participant will complete a detailed in take survey before being accepted into the program to ensure you are physically, mentally and emotionally ready for the experience. -
Your lead guide, Allison, is highly skilled and trained in psilocybin ceremony facilitation having supported nearly 100 clients in the work since she began integrating this modality into her coaching practice more than four years ago. In the ceremony, she will be joined by a second highly skilled facilitator with whom she works with closely. This means that there will be a ratio of no more than 4:1 in the ceremony space at all times. Together we create a caring and supportive environment that allows you to truly surrender and listen to the depths of your own inner wisdom.

Participants are strongly encouraged to treat this as a business expense. The weight of what you are carrying is not just personal. It has a direct impact on your bottom line. Consider this essential investment in the health and success of the company you are building.

This program has been carefully designed to provide exactly the right time investment – enough so you have space to do the deep inner work but not so much that you cannot fit it into the realities of your demanding schedule as a founder. The group calls are important to build cohesion. One month before we gather, we will coordinate times that work for all participants.
The in-person retreat programming will start at 5 pm Thursday October 15th. This allows for flights that arrive during the day on Thursday. Our programming will end at 5 pm on Sunday October 18th, allowing those who chose to return home locally. We have also included the option to stay overnight at the retreat venue on Sunday October 18th at no additional fee. For those travelling internationally, this allows you to relax into the evening and plan your flights home on Monday October 19th.
-
Our retreat location was intentionally selected for its proximity to LIS airport (30 minutes). This allows ease of access for travels from the US, UK and Europe as well as those living locally in the Lisbon area. We can help arrange transportation from the LIS airport if needed for a small additional fee.

Microdosing is a powerful tool to support preparation and integration. Before the retreat, it will help “quiet the noise” so you can hone in on your key intentions for the experience. After the retreat, microdosing will help extend the window of neuroplasticity. All retreat participants will be provided with supplies necessary for this process. These will be shipped to you and the cost is included in your program fee.
